Job Summary: The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of Propulsion’s clients, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic technology services tailored to their business objectives. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts. The Account Manager is responsible for working closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of their business, strategic goals, and technology priorities, and then translating that knowledge into technology recommendations and roadmaps. The individual will work with the service delivery team and other Propulsion resources to deliver technology solutions and ensure excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Relationship Building:
o Form and maintain strategic business relationships with key client decision-makers
o Conduct discovery with the client decision makers to gain an in depth understanding of their business and key objectives/goals.
o Act as the primary account owner for Propulsion, responsible for overall client satisfaction, revenue, growth, and retention
o Act as a customer escalation point for problems/issues that they may be experiencing
2. Technology Steering and Strategy Development:
o Work with the other Propulsion technical team members to develop a technology roadmap and make technology recommendations to the client that will drive positive business outcomes
o Schedule and lead in person monthly, quarterly, yearly technology business review meetings with clients to review the technology roadmap, discuss status of in progress and upcoming projects, identify technology solutions that may benefit their business, and resolve any issues with service delivery
o Establish a frequent check in cadence to promote positive business relationships.
3. Proactive Account Management:
o Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address any issues or concerns
o Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and present the solutions to clients
o Generate proposals for new technology services, products, or projects that are aligned to a client’s budget, specific business needs and goals, and their strategic technology roadmap
o Manage contract renewals, pricing discussion and service scope adjustments
o Maintain accurate records of client interactions, service issues, and opportunities in the CRM system
o Collaborate with other various Propulsion teams (legal, accounting, service delivery, professional services, etc) to address customer needs, issues and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds clients expectations
4. Client Education:
o Provide Propulsion educational materials to the client on various technology topics including IT, Cybersecurity, Compliance, AI and Automation.
o Collaborate with Propulsions Centers of Excellence (COEs) leaders to and coordinate with the client to provide more detailed, technical education and training where necessary

Requirements/Qualifications:

o 5+ years experience in a sales, account management, or customer success role, preferably with an MSP or another information technology company
o Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity solutions
o Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
o Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
o Experience with CRM tools and related systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Hubspot, Salesforce)
o Familiarity with the tools and technologies used by MSPs including RMM, PSA, Backup, Cybersecurity, AI, Automation, etc.
o Ability to manage multiple clients and deliver high-value services efficiently
o Ability to travel to clients sites as needed
o Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or a related field (or equivalent experience)
